Mobile Home Remodel that Makes Family Dreams Come True
Just like all of Renovation Hunters’ previous home improvement projects, this lake property came with a story. The modular home’s location was a lifelong dream of the Clear family, but not long after purchasing the property, illness struck.
This close-knit family lost their Dad to ALS, and they wanted their getaway property to honor his legacy of hard work and dedication. That’s where the Renovation Hunters team stepped in. Their goal – improve the floor plan (to accommodate the entire family) and tackle all of the living spaces…kitchen remodel with new kitchen cabinets, bathroom remodel, living room remodel, new flooring, exterior improvements – you name it, the team did it!
But, unlike the other builds from Season 1 and Season 2, this location posed some unique challenges – mostly related to the fact that the team wasn’t remodeling a site-built home or cabin; it was a mobile home renovation.

To accommodate all generations of the Clear family, Baird Brothers was happy to supply many of the unique products that brought the home’s floorplan to life.
The mobile home’s kitchen was probably the most drastic transformation – walls were removed, the space was taken down to the studs, hardwood countertops were installed to elevate the design, shiplap was added to the ceilings, and modern light fixtures replaced the outdated ones. When the team was done, the old mobile home was nearly unrecognizable.
Wood flooring was added as an accent to the mobile home walls in the living room (which can be an easy DIY project for those looking to make upgrades themselves), and our high-quality lumber replaced the original casing, taking each space to the next level.
